Welcome to Academy of Sound Production.

The Academy of Sound Production’s (ASP) is proud to announce its new home at Heliport Studios in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. A brand new course has been designed to teach students in a full professional environment of a working commercial studio. Small class sizes and a personal focus make this course an exclusive experience. Classes are less than 10 students in an intimate environment with only three classes on offer this year.

The Diploma of Sound Production and Certificate IV in Sound Production are stepping stones into the music industry. With a practical focus students will be recording, mixing and mastering artists as well as running sound for gigs and festivals. You will be working in the industry with opportunities to meet the people who will be your future employers. Using the most modern teaching techniques with some of the best sound gear in the world, our courses give you a chance at cracking into one of the hardest yet most rewarding industries. And the best thing is you can continue on into the 2nd year of a Bachelor of Sound Production at most tertiary institutes.

This is the start of your new career. Let's  make some music.

Are there any high school after school programs that a person would be able to take if they wanted for the sound production certificates? And also if there are, will they interfere with school in anyway?

Yes the Certificate III in Music has a large sound production component and we are looking to have a class next term. The classes are from 4 – 7pm one day per week with a camp on the summer holidays.
